Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Simple chinese restaurant serving wan tan mee, rice with siew kai, cha siew, siew yoke or duck...Also have western sets like pasta n big breakfast...Portions are generous and they have set meals with a drink ie tea, coffee or ice lemon tea. Value for money for good cha siew or roast pork!"
"A warmth service by the uncle. Good 1st impression. Polo bun - aromatic dough! High quality butter. Just that the top is not crispy enough. But taste darn good. Hainan tea - VERY GOOD and Kaw Wantan noodle - Springy , sauce is balanced. Texture is not common of outside kopitiam. Char siew, a bit too sweet. But soft and not dry. Rice - Aromatic and cooked just right Siew yoke - Nice! Duck - so-so , very hard to compete the quality of kepong baru ducks."
"Greeted by a very friendly uncle, felt like home! Food was 10/10 - I had triple meat (char siew, roast duck and steam chicken) - all taste amazing. They also have live music performance which is very relaxing."
"Non-halal. Very nice siu lap (roast duck, chicken, char siu and siu yuk ) restaurant with lots of hainanese fare like pastas, sandwiches and chops. Lots of choices catering for all ages. The bossman, an elderly gentleman who takes orders from customers is an fine example of how a service industry should be.. courteous, patient, informative, and polite.. and this is just a "chicken rice restaurant!".. Will definitely frequent this place."
"The foods are big portion and tasty. I love their cha Siew so much, it's a must to order. Curry Mee also very nice"
"The Food: Most dishes were top-notch! The Roasted Chicken & Duck Rice was the highlight—fragrant rice paired with incredibly tender meat. The roasted duck and char siew platter is also a must-try. However, the Curry Mee was a bit of a letdown; the broth lacked the rich, creamy depth I was expecting and felt a little diluted. It would be perfect if the curry base was thicker and more robust. The Service: The staff were very attentive, and the overall service was pleasant throughout our meal."
"The roast chicken and char siew was done right! Siew yoke is ok ok. Asam vege is a bit too spicy but still very flavorful"
"Stumbled upon this place by chance . What a pleasant find Tried 1 roast duck- duck was not tough. Tasted good on its own without the sauce . Their homemade chili sauce was good 2 Roast pork - The skin was crunchy . Not bad 3 Braised pork with sour mustard. - very yummy and it had the correct balance of sourness, spiciness and a hint of sweetness 4 The owner of the shop was very polite"
